  • The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams – Being hilarious is the attraction of this science fiction book. The book is about a story of a galactic traveller name Arthur Dent. His adventures include encounters with aliens, a sad robot, sperm whales, mice which are more than meets the eye and funnily bad poetry.
  • Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card – The book about the story of someone who is genetically designed to be a genius, Andrew Wiggin a.k.a. “Ender.” The plot thickens when he is drafted to Battle School to train as the leader in a hundred year long fight with aliens called Buggers.
  • Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin – The book tells about the Stark family when the Seven Kingdoms are in the advent of a winter season which will last a generation. The family's encounters include the rise of the Neverborn demons, their rival Lannesters' ploys which are highly dangerous and the coming of barbarian hordes, among others.
  • Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury – This should be a favourite among science fiction book club members, science fiction book lovers and book lovers in general. It is about a time when all books are ordered to be destroyed by a totalitarian government.
